Wardrobe

Put gear on a Forever character, turn it around, set it walking, and keep the picture or a video. Put up to five characters on one stage, and publish an outfit for others to try on.

About saving scenes

Saved in this browser, twelve at most, and lost if its data is cleared. Signed in, they are kept on your account. A saved scene holds every character on the stage: what it wears, its name, where it stands and the moment it is held at, with the backdrop and how the row stands. Opening one replaces the scene on the stage, which can be brought back. A backdrop picture of your own is not part of it.

Import a character

It joins your scene at the end of the row. Your own characters stay where they are.

Up to five characters stand together, each with its own race, outfit and movement. A new one starts as a copy of this one.

Slots

Choose a slot, here or beside the character, to see what can go in it.

Transmog in Forever

Anything goes on anyone here. Forever rules compares the outfit with what you have equipped.

What this outfit needs in Forever

Nothing is worn.

How transmog works in Forever

What Blizzard has described, from our notes of 2 October 2026. We have not read the announcement itself and nothing here was tried in the game.

  • A look must be of the same armour type as the item you have equipped in that slot: cloth over cloth, leather over leather, mail over mail, plate over plate. Your class does not change that: a Paladin wearing a cloth chest needs a cloth look there.
  • Below level 60, high-level looks stay level restricted. At level 60 the level limit is gone for looks you have collected.
  • Grey and white items give their look when looted. Green and blue dungeon drops that bind when picked up give their look to everyone who could have looted them. An epic raid item gives its look to the player it binds to.
  • You can switch off seeing other players' transmog. A hidden helmet or cloak stays hidden either way.
  • The removal of armour-type limits belongs to Retail's patch 12.2.5, not to Forever.

Not known for Forever, and not assumed from Retail:

  • Which weapon types can take which looks.
  • Class-only tier looks, legendary items, and limits by faction or race.
  • Which cosmetic items are exceptions to the armour rule. Blizzard names them as exceptions and does not list them.

Farming plan

Groups the outfit’s pieces by the place each is said to come from, so one trip can cover several. Nothing here is a promise that an item drops.

10 races and 5,727 items, from the Forever beta client, build 1.60.1.70170. Drawn from client files and not checked against the game. Models and textures © Blizzard Entertainment.

What it does today

  • Human, Orc, Dwarf, Night Elf, Undead, Tauren, Gnome, Troll, High Order Skyborne, Windshaper Skyborne: both bodies of each, in the classic and the high-definition models where the client has both.
  • 5,727 items across every slot, searched by name, with the skin, face and hair the game offers.
  • Standing, walking, running, a ready stance and an attack, and nineteen emotes, from a wave to a dance.
  • Weapons that hang on the back or at the belt when put away, their own fire, smoke and trails, and the glow of an enchantment.
  • Up to five characters on one stage, each with its own name, race, outfit and movement, standing in a row or wherever you put them: moved, lifted, turned and leaned one by one.
  • A timeline for each character, like a video player’s: hold it still, drag to any moment of a dance, and step one frame at a time to the pose you want.
  • A picture with its backdrop, see-through or on green, a video recorded in your browser, and a stage view for OBS. The backdrop can be a picture of your own, which never leaves your browser.
  • A scene that saves itself in your browser as you change it, scenes saved by name to open again later, and a new scene whenever you want one.
  • Outfits kept in your browser, or on your account when you are signed in.
  • An outfit published to the community, with its picture and gear list, that anyone can try on their own character or change into their own version.
  • A note of the armour type each slot would need equipped in Forever, by the one transmog rule Blizzard has described.
  • A farming plan: the pieces of an outfit grouped by the place each is said to come from, with a tick for what you already have.

What it does not do yet

  • A comparison with the game. Nothing here has been put beside a screenshot, and where a carried weapon hangs, a bow on the back above all, was placed by eye.
  • Every effect. An enchantment’s glow is drawn as its particles only, and an effect that runs in just some of a weapon’s own movements is left out.
  • What a race may wear. The client’s files do not say which race or class an item is for in Forever, so every item is offered to every race.
  • A check against your character. The armour note says what a look needs; it does not know your class, level, gear or collection, and says nothing about weapons.
  • Your own character. Nothing here reads what a character in the game wears; an account only keeps the outfits you chose to keep.
  • A farming plan you can rely on. Its places and creatures are Classic Era leads, not checked against Forever.

Where it comes from

The models, textures and movements are read from the Forever beta client, build 1.60.1.70170, and drawn in your browser. That shows how the client stores a look. It does not prove an item can be obtained, or used for transmog, in the game.

Looking for an item first? The item finder lists every item in the client, and an item that can be worn here says so on its page.
